For Air Max Day 2021 we collaborated with our favorite sandwich shop, Wario’s Beef & Pork, for the coveted Nike Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’. What we didn’t mention is the experience that came with obtaining the ticket when it came to actually purchase the shoe. We transformed our auxiliary/warehouse location into a “shoe” chop shop, serving fresh new shoes and the aesthetic of an authentic butcher shop.

 

The buildout echoed that of a walk-up service window, with faux brick paneling and a meat menu to boot. Each team member wore a custom ‘Sole Classics Chop Shop’ apron and mask to serve the guests as they came up to grab their shoes. In efforts to keep everyone safe, we implemented a digital line ticket system that you would find in the busiest meat markets across the world to keep order and safety. We used white recycled bags, with the same Sole Classics Chop Shop logo as the aprons to give another layer of clean, authenticity that mimics your favorite meat market.
